Per ESPN’s Alexa Philippou, there won’t be any suspensions from last night’s altercations between the Fever and Sun. The WNBA announced a fine for Sophie Cunningham and upgraded Marina Mabrey’s infraction to a flagrant two, meaning she’ll receive a fine.
Marina Mabrey’s technical from last night’s Fever-Sun game has been upgraded to a flagrant 2, the league told ESPN. A flagrant 2 comes from a standard fine.
Additionally, Sophie Cunningham was fined separately for her hard foul with 46 secs to play
No players will be suspended
The 28-year-old Cunningham is in her first season with the Fever after spending six years with the Mercury. In six contests, Cunningham is averaging 6.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
