The Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed the person who introduced him to the pop superstar when she made her podcast debut on ‘New Heights’

Kanas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid may have earned himself a new title: Matchmaker.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce looked back on where their love story started when the pop star, 35, made her debut on her boyfriend’s podcast New Heights, revealing the person who connected the pair in the beginning.

Theories have spawned and speculation has swirled around who could’ve linked the singer and football player, 35, since they first sparked romance rumors in September 2023 before publicly confirming their relationship one month later — with Reid being a prime suspect.

Jason Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles star who cohosts the show with his brother Travis, asked Swift straight up during the episode if Reid was the self-proclaimed matchmaker who set up the couple.

“Andy Reid recently revealed that he was the one who set you guys up. How true is this revelation by Big Red,” Jason, 37, asked Swift and Travis of Reid, referring to him by his popular nickname.

The pair, meanwhile, didn’t shut the statement down.

“Whatever Andy Reid says we’re gonna stand by,” Swift answered, adding, “That’s what happened.”

“Cupid… Yep,” Travis doubled down. “Cupid, Big Red… It’s all the same.”

The 14-time Grammy winner, in fact, gave context to her longtime relationship with Reid, whom she said knew her dad, Scott Swift, for a while before she ever met Travis.

“He’s been friends with my dad. My dad is the most social man who’s ever been born,” the singer shared. “He’s just a maniac. He will make a friend in an airport in 1971, have a five-minute conversation and still be talking to that dude twice a week now.”

“But he’s like that with everybody,” Swift continued of her dad. “He’s able to have very many, very meaningful relationships — and it’s a a skill.”

Travis added, “It’s a mind-boggling talent that I have only known him to have.”

“He’s a savant,” Swift shared. “A social savant, my dad.”

Recently, Reid explained his history with Taylor’s dad Scott on the sports radio’s 96.5 The Fan with Fescoe and Dusty podcast on Aug. 7, and broke down the timeline of events on how he met the Grammy winner, clarifying that he knew her before the NFL star did.

“Now listen, I knew her before he knew her,” he said on the show. “My family has been a big fan of hers, and we know her father and mother… from the Philadelphia area, Pennsylvania.”

Reid noted that Scott has a love for the sport, a dynamic that bonded them from the start.

“Her dad is a huge football fan, so we hit it off with him,” he shared, adding, “Then she became this famous person, arguably the most famous woman in the world, since probably the Queen passed away.”

Before revealing the invisible string in their romance, Taylor and Travis called out “green flags” they’ve noticed in each other since they started dating two years ago.

The star tight end recalled a time when Swift opted to go through the front doors at Arrowhead Stadium instead of using a less-populated entrance away from the throngs of people entering the massive venue.

“You wanna talk about green flags, the first game she went to, the Bears game, she literally went through the front door,” Travis began to explain, clarifying, “Through general admission with everybody on the bus to the game.”

Taken aback — and very-much impressed — Travis remembers thinking, “I was like, ‘Oh, she’s just in it. She’s down for the ride. She’s here for the fun. I’ll go through the mud. I’ll be a part of Chiefs Kingdom’.”

Swift, meanwhile, credited Travis’ “big, bulky” friends for their protection as she entered her first game to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24, 2023.

Of Travis, Swift touted, “Green flag! Not threatened by other guys.”
