Jeopardy! Round – A Strong Start for the Champ

The opening round featured a set of clever and competitive categories:

AI Is Coming for You

Homophones

Caldecott Medal & Honor Books

Anniversaries

Goodbye, Fish and Chips

International Hoops Terms with Cleanthony Early

The game’s first turning point arrived early when the first Daily Double appeared in Anniversaries. Harrison uncovered it with $3,600 already on the board. Choosing to take a sizable risk, he wagered $2,600. His confidence paid off—he answered correctly and jumped to $6,200, while both Cara and Ble still struggled in negative territory.

Harrison maintained steady control throughout the remainder of the round. By the first break, the scoreboard read:

Harrison: $9,200

Cara: $1,400

Ble: $200

Harrison’s lead was solid, but the game was far from over, especially with two Daily Doubles waiting in Double Jeopardy.

Double Jeopardy! – Big Swings and High Stakes

The second board introduced new categories and a fresh set of opportunities for momentum shifts:

Appropriately Named Places

Settle Down

Americana

Funny People

After You

The night’s second Daily Double was found in Settle Down, and this time Cara was the contender facing a major decision. With $5,800 in her bank, she placed a significant wager of $3,000. Unfortunately, the gamble didn’t go her way—she missed the clue and dropped back to $2,800.

Harrison, meanwhile, was sitting comfortably at $10,800, while Ble had worked his way to $1,400.

However, Cara wasn’t done yet. She tracked down Daily Double #3 in Appropriately Named Places. Determined to regain lost ground, she wagered everything—$2,800—and nailed the response. Her comeback pushed her back up to $5,600, giving her renewed momentum.

Ble had a more turbulent round, dipping into the red before finally climbing back into positive territory with $3,000.

As the final clue of the round was revealed, the standings heading into Final Jeopardy were:

Harrison: $16,400

Cara: $11,200

Ble: $3,000

With all three players still mathematically in contention, the final category would prove decisive.

Final Jeopardy – A Triple Miss Changes Everything

The last clue fell under the category Women Authors, and the Final Jeopardy prompt referenced a 2016 New York Times obituary describing a famous writer as a “literary Garbo,” highlighting her reclusive, private nature.

The correct response: Who is Harper Lee?

All three contestants missed:

Ble wagered his entire $3,000, finishing at $0.

Cara risked $5,201, dropping her to $5,999.

Harrison bet $6,001, ending with $10,399—just enough to maintain his lead and secure his eighth win.

Despite the collective stumble, Harrison’s strategic advantage protected him, continuing his reign as champion for another day.

Harrison Whitaker Extends His Winning Streak

Even with a tricky finish, Harrison’s performance throughout the game was strong enough to carry him to victory once again. With this latest triumph, he now boasts eight consecutive wins and a new total of $218,600 in earnings.

His consistent gameplay, smart risks, and composed on-screen presence have made him a standout competitor this season—and fans will undoubtedly be eager to see whether he can continue his streak in the next episode.
