Arizona Cardinals star running back James Conner was carted off in Sunday’s road game against the San Francisco 49ers with a gruesome-looking ankle injury.
James Conner suffered the injury on a 2nd-and-1 rushing play early in the third quarter and was taken off the field. Before leaving the game, Conner had 22 rushing yards and three receptions for 15 yards.
Players on both teams came together to pray for Conner as he was carted away:
Unfortunately, James Conner was just one of three notable star players to suffer an injury during the late afternoon games on Sunday. Dallas Cowboys All-Pro wideout CeeDee Lamb suffered an ankle injury against the Chicago Bears and was ruled out for the game soon after.
