The Colorado Buffaloes moved to a game within .500 by squeaking out a 24-17 home win over Iowa State, four days after head coach Deion Sanders underwent surgery for blood clots. Quarterback Kaidon Salter led the way with 255 passing yards, two touchdowns and 57 rushing yards.

As college football fans know, it’s common for spectators to storm the field to celebrate their team’s victory. But one Colorado fan got more than he bargained for when he took a hockey-style bodycheck from the end zone goal post:

Well, at least the fan found humor in the whole thing by laughing away at his mishap. Then again, celebrations aren’t supposed to be painful like this.

It’s been a rocky season in Boulder, which many expected after two-way star and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, as well as starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders (Deion’s son), entered the NFL.

The Colorado Buffaloes got a much-needed victory over the No. 22 ranked Cyclones on Saturday, but there’s plenty of work to do if they want to play in a bowl game. The Buffs are on a bye next week, and then they’ll return to the field for an Oct. 25 road game against the Utah Utes.

Colorado will go as far as Kaidon Salter takes them. He’s up to nine touchdowns and two interceptions this season, per ESPN.
