Micah Parsons is not 100% healthy heading into the 2025 season.

Explosive New Details Emerge on How Packers Were Reportedly Kept in the Dark About Micah Parsons' Hidden Injury - NewsBreak

On Monday, it was revealed that the “back tightness” he was experiencing was much worse than previously reported.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the star linebacker is dealing with an L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back, which could require an injection to play.

Now, his first appearance with the team is up in the air.

To make matters worse, a new report claims that the Green Bay Packers were unaware of Micah Parsons’ injury when they passed him through his physical following that massive trade with the Cowboys.

Parsons hasn’t been putting in any work on the field. He sat out all of 2025 training camp with the Dallas Cowboys with a reported back injury, something the Green Bay Packers claimed they were aware of when they traded for him.

Unfortunately, his L4/L5 facet joint sprain appears to be a new wrinkle they knew nothing about.

Adam Schefter further detailed that the Cowboys had the star linebacker on an anti-inflammatory treatment plan and prescribed him medication to improve tightness in his back.

The Micah Parsons Trade is Even Worse Than We Thought

Micah Parsons was not fully healthy when the Cowboys traded him to the Packers last week.

He may not be available Week 1 due to a L4/L5 facet joint sprain in his back.

The four-time Pro Bowler has a chance to get out on the field if he gets an epidural injection ahead of the Packers’ season opener against the Lions. However, the team might want to leave him out altogether to give him more time to heal.

In the final year of his rookie contract, Parsons signed a four-year, $188 million contract agreement with the Packers, which may explain his intense push for a deal.

The Cowboys open the season against the Eagles on Thursday night, while the Packers must wait until Sunday.

Both teams will go head-to-head on September 28th.
