As Clark was attempting to shake free from Sheldon at the top of the key, Sheldon reached with her right hand and poked Clark in the eyes. Clark responded by shoving Sheldon. Naturally, all of it led to a dustup between the Fever and Sun.

Many fans weren’t pleased with the adjudication on the skirmish and the fact that Mabrey wasn’t ejected.

That sequence led to a late-game retaliation from Fever guard Sophie Cunningham on Sheldon. Cunningham delivered a hard foul on Sheldon that resulted in eventual ejections for Cunningham, Sheldon and Sun guard Lindsay Allen.
