THE Indiana Fever are having a rough start to the season that no one saw coming.
Mediocre play combined with Caitlin Clark going down for multiple weeks has some calling for the Fever’s head coach to be fired.

Fever head coach Stephanie White has been in the job for just six games, but they haven’t been good ones.
The team currently sits at 2-4 on the season, losing three games in a row.
That is probably only going to get worse while Clark is out of the lineup with a quad strain.
She was given a two week minimum of rest before she can return.
Indiana Fever fears revealed over Caitlin Clark shock injury
The earliest game Clark can compete in after her injury is on Saturday against the New York Liberty.
No one could have expected this kind of performance from the Fever, especially after they revamped their roster this offseason.
The team were meant to be title contenders, not the No. 8 seed in the entire league.
Many fans feel that White is to blame for these issues, and shared their thoughts on social media.

“Her being absent is not why we are losing,” one fan said.
“Stephanie White need to step out of the way and let this team run the offense from the second half of last season. The coach is trash right now.”

“I said from the beginning that coach doesn’t know what she is doing. It’s unbelievable that she doesn’t bring kk to play,” another fan said.
“Fire Stephanie White,” a third said.
“White is not the answer as coach and [Kelsey] Mitchell steps back for a 3 on the final shot instead of going to the rim and possibly getting a foul,” a fourth fan said.
The Fever will get a bit of a lighter schedule for the remaining bit of Clark’s absence.

White will have a good opportunity to eek out a few wins before Clark gets back against some of the weaker teams in the league.
However, she probably has her fingers crossed that the superstar gets back sooner rather than later.
