Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham shared the perfect message on her Instagram story after getting ejected in Tuesday’s heated contest against the Connecticut Sun.
Tensions boiled over in Tuesday’s contest between the two clubs, featuring a couple of heated altercations between Caitlin Clark and Jacy Sheldon, multiple technical fouls and three ejections.
Sheldon, Connecticut teammate Lindsay Allen and Sophie Cunningham were all ejected during Tuesday night’s tense affair. It appears that Cunningham had enough of Sheldon’s antics toward Clark, as evidenced by the foul she committed before being ejected:
Not long after she was ejected, the 28-year-old Sophie Cunningham took to Instagram to deliver a priceless message:
There were several tense altercations between Caitlin Clark and Jacy Sheldon during the game, including this part where the former appeared to tell her opponent, “I can do whatever the f**K I wanna do.”
There was also this moment where Clark appeared to get hit in the eye, leading to another scrum that culminated in Marina Mabrey delivering a hard hit to Clark from behind:
Cunningham had five points and seven rebounds in 22 minutes of playing time before she was thrown out. Clark led Indiana with 20 points in the 88-71 blowout victory, as the Fever moved to 6-5 on the year.
