The Colorado Buffaloes fan base was not at their best behavior over the weekend as they watched their team take on Iowa State.

Iowa State Cyclones football suffered its second-straight loss of the season after losing to Colorado on the road.

On the other side, Colorado football had its best win of the season against Iowa State, upsetting the Cyclones 24-17. It was a much-needed win for the program amid another tough season.

Because it was an upset victory, the Buffaloes’ fan base decided to rush the field and celebrate.

That did not work out too well for one fan as footage showed him being crushed underneath the weight of a goal post that was coming down. That fan would be freed and free from injury.

Unfortunately, one Colorado Buffaloes fan is being rightfully blasted for his insane actions towards a player.

Following the upset win against Iowa State, Buffaloes fans rushed the field.

Iowa State wideout Chase Sowell, who previously played for Colorado, could be seen snatching his helmet back from a fan who was trying to steal it.

Luckily, he not only got to keep his helmet, but he also made it off Folsom Field unharmed.

Chase Sowell’s dad saw the now-viral video and offered his opinion on X. He made it clear that while the video looked bad, showing his son being attacked by a Colorado Buffaloes fan, he and his family had a good time and were treated kindly by 99% of the fans, coaches, and players.

Chase Sowell would eventually take to X and speak out following the incident.

During the game, he registered 2 catches for 25 yards.
