THE Miami Dolphins had a disastrous start to their 2025 campaign.

After entering the season with plenty of question marks, the Dolphins were crushed by the Indianapolis Colts 33-8.

The loss was so bad that it seems to have sparked some discourse within the locker room.

Dolphins players held a players-only meeting in order to discuss the state of the team.

Linebacker Jordyn Brooks, one of the captains of the team, shared why the meeting was held.

“Just staying locked in,” Brooks said.

“Losing the way we did Week 1, it can be discouraging.

“Outside noise. People talking. Fans talking. Family talking.

“Just kind of making sure that everybody’s together.”

Brooks acknowledged that a players-only meeting could be seen as players going against coaches.

However, he insisted it was simply a way for the players to come together and gain confidence.

“When you lose like that, it’s easy for people to get discouraged. Start looking and questioning maybe yourself or others,” Brooks said.

“So, making sure we all lock back in. Making sure the belief is still there.

“If you lose belief, you don’t have nothing. So, making sure that everybody’s on the next page and come back strong.”

Pass rusher Chop Robinson shared that he thinks the players-only meeting helped the team get into the right mindset for this week.

“It’s been great, everybody is tuned in,” Robinson said.

“Everybody is locked in, the communication with each other, just everything.

“Everybody is just forgetting about the past and just moving on forward trying to be better than last week, for sure.”
