A league spokesperson told OutKick “The project employee has been suspended without pay for two weeks for violating multiple NBA policies.”

Reports allege that the unnamed employee shared Facebook and Instagram stories that mocked Kirk after he was killed.

Posts included language that called Kirk a “terrible person” and a “s***hole.”

A screenshot of Kirk from the @RogueDNC Instagram account was shared by the staffer with the caption “What is Charlie Kirk’s legacy?” according to OutKick.

The staffer also shared a post with the comment: “Did absolutely nothing healthy for the world except spew dangerous rhetoric…

“There is no legacy… he was a terrible person (a s***hole).”

The staffer shared one more post with the caption, “Oh I also forgot to include ‘thoughts and prayers’ LMAO.”

The Instagram account that the pictures were posted to included the NBA logo, as well as the account saying they worked for NBA Entertainment.

This NBA staffer is just one of many sport employees who were disciplined following Kirk’s murder.

The Carolina Panthers fired an employee over posts mocking Kirk’s death.

Charlie Rock, the Panthers’ Football Communications Coordinator, was fired by the team for alleged posts on Instagram.

Images popped up on social media that appeared to show Rock shared a video of Kirk saying “it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year.”

Rock then added his own comment to the post.

“Why are y’all sad?” he wrote.

“Your man said it was worth it…”

Elected officials reaction to Charlie Kirk shooting

Vice President JD Vance: “Dear God, protect Charlie in his darkest hour.”
Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg: “Political violence must be always and totally rejected,” Buttigieg wrote on X. “Praying for him and all who may have been injured or impacted.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom: “The attack on Charlie Kirk is disgusting, vile, and reprehensible. In the United States of America, we must reject political violence in EVERY form.”
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker: “The attack on Charlie Kirk is horrifying. Political violence has no place in this country and should never become the norm. I’m sending my sympathies to his family and friends at this time.”
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis: “The way to resolve political disputes is not through violence. The way to do that is to ask questions, debate. An attack on the idea that we resolve these things through reasoned debate and elections.”
NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani: I’m horrified by the shooting of Charlie Kirk at a college event in Utah. Political violence has no place in our country.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “Praying for @charliekirk11″

Another image of Rock’s account showed him allegedly posting the Wu-Tang Clan song Protect Ya Neck after the shooting.

The Panthers released a statement about Rock’s firing immediately after it occurred.

“The views expressed by our employees are their own and do not represent those of the Carolina Panthers,” the team wrote.

“We do not condone violence of any kind.

“We are taking this matter very seriously and have accordingly addressed it with the individual.”
