Disgruntled football fans think the NFL refs rigged the Minnesota Vikings-Chicago Bears “Monday Night Football” game after a questionable game-changing call in the fourth quarter.

The Bears were clinging to a 27-17 lead with under 10 minutes remaining when the controversial call by the NFL refs ensued. Facing a 3rd-and-1 situation at the Chicago 41, Vikings quarterback JJ McCarthy missed Jalen Nailor on a deep ball over the middle of the field.

However, the officials curiously flagged Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson for defensive pass interference. Instead of a 4th-and-1 situation, the Vikings got a fresh set of downs at the Bears’ 27 and scored a go-ahead touchdown on the ensuing play, with McCarthy finding Aaron Jones in the end zone for six:

Angry fans accused the NFL refs of “rigging” the game for Kevin O’Connell’s Vikings:

“It’s scripted bro what do you expect,” a fan wrote.

“Bears v Vikings definitely feels rigged tonight. Refs making trash calls all night,” wrote a user.

“Started watching the game. Then remembered how bad the #nfl is rigged. Refs helping Vikings get a win. #MondayNightFootball,” said a fan.

“Never seen so many phantom calls…. Is this game fixed?” asked another.

“Incredibly concerning about the offense tonight. No lie there. However, hard to beat a clearly fixed game. There was no chance refs were letting Minnesota moneyline fail tonight. Gonna be a long season regardless. Going offline, not gonna sit here for the Caleb overreactions,” wrote a fan.

“The NFL is rigged … the refs are blind … allegedly. Caleb Williams be getting hit illegally all night,” said another.

Hey, some fans also thought the Baltimore Ravens-Buffalo Bills “Sunday Night Football” game was rigged after Josh Allen led his team to a stunning comeback win.
