The 41-40 loss to the Buffalo Bills was enough to frustrate John Harbaugh and the Baltimore Ravens. Now, throughout the week, they have had to answer questions on their quarterback, Lamar Jackson, and his exchange with a Buffalo Bills fan.

Now, as the Ravens prepare for their Week 2 home tilt against the Cleveland Browns, they are ready to put the incident to rest. According to Adam Schefter, the Ravens have said they are taking care of the incident internally. The official quote from a Ravens official:

“Our players’ safety is of the utmost importance. We have spoken to Lamar, who understands the impact of the situation, about the incident. While we will keep internal matters private, we have implemented additional security protocols, both at home and on the road, to better protect our players and handle negative fan interactions moving forward.”

The incident happened late in the third quarter of the game at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo. After Jackson tossed a 29-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins, as the two celebrated, a fan pushed both players individually. While Hopking ignored the move, Jackson could not, and shoved the fan in frustration.

The Bills fan who shoved the two has been banned from the Bills and NFL stadiums. This came via a team official speaking to Schefter:

“The fan who shoved Ravens WR DeAndre Hopkins, and then got shoved by QB Lamar Jackson, has been “indefinitely banned from Bills and NFL stadiums”, per a team official. The fan had been ejected after the shove Sunday night.”

Jackson has since apologized to the fan and said he needs to “just chill next time.”

He also went on to say, “It just happened. I got pushed. I’m like, what? I wasn’t even thinking about me being out there on the field. My apologies to him.”

The Ravens quarterback completed 14 of 19 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns. Outside of Hopkins, the other went to Zay Flowers. Jackson also rushed six times for 70 yards and a touchdown.

Both the Ravens and Browns start Sunday’s game at 0-1 on the season. Baltimore will then host the Detroit Lions on Sept. 22 for a Monday Night Football tilt.
