He was immediately transported to a local hospital for checks.

The incident happened during Stanford’s game against SMU in Dallas, Texas.

Morris hit the deck in the first quarter of the game at Gerald Ford Stadium.

The cornerback was covering a deep pass but collided with a teammate and opponent.

Morris was down on the field after the incident involving linebacker teammate Sam Mattingly and opposing receiver Jordan Hudson.

Medical staff rushed to treat him, removing his facemask and immobilizing the star.

He was eventually taken off the field in an ambulance.

Stanford said at the time that he had movement in his arms and legs.

And the school released a further positive statement during the game.

“Aaron Morris has cleared all precautionary tests and is returning to be with the team for the conclusion of the SMU matchup,” it read.

Morris is in his junior year at Stanford.

Saturday was his fourth appearance of the season.

And he played in 17 games during his first two years with the team.

Stanford was defeated 34-10 by SMU in the game on Saturday.

The loss was their fourth in six games already in 2025.

Former quarterback Andrew Luck took the job as general manager with his alma mater last November.

Luck played under center for the school before becoming the No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick in 2012.

He was forced to retire after the 2018 season after an Indianapolis Colts career ravaged by injury.

Former Colts coach Frank Reich is in interim charge of Stanford.

And the school received a $50 million donation from a former player this week to help restore their football program to past glory.
