TAYLOR Swift fans have reacted as a controversial NFL star is cut after three games.

The veteran safety took aim at Swift, 35, after winning Super Bowl LIX.

Safety CJ Gardner-Johnson, 27, has been cut by the Houston Texans after a poor start to the season.

The Texans are winless after three games.

Their 17-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars has become a turning point as Gardner-Johnson is released.

His departure comes as a surprise as Gardner-Johnson only joined the Texans ahead of the 20225 season.

He was picked by the New Orleans Saints during the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

After three seasons in Louisiana, Gardner-Johnson joined the Philadelphia Eagles for one year.

Gardner-Johnson then spent the 2023 campaign with the Detroit Lions before returning to the Eagles for another year-long stint.

It was during this second period in Philadelphia that he became a Super Bowl LIX champion, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs.

His reaction following the Eagles’ win drew widespread hatred from Swift’s fans.

Gardner-Johnson was then spotted wearing a sweatshirt that read, “Swifties can LIX my balls” in reference to their Super Bowl win.

This has placed the safety firmly in the crosshairs for Swifties.

“Life comes at you fast,” one Swiftie posted on X following Gardner-Johnson’s release.

“Karma is a beautiful thing,” another shared, referring to Swift’s 2022 song.

The safety hit out at his former Eagles teammates after being cut at the end of last season.

He has become a controversial figure in the NFL as he bounces between teams.

Locker room issues are understood to be behind the decision.

“I am genuinely shocked by this news,” a fan commented.

Gardner-Johnson had reportedly requested a trade as the Texans struggle for momentum this season.

The Texans will face winless AFC South rivals the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
