The Nebraska Cornhuskers totally disrespected Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift following their engagement this week, but Swifties pressured them into taking their wild post down.

The soon-to-be husband and wife attended the season opener between Nebraska and Cincinnati on Thursday night, as Dylan Raiola led the former out at Arrowhead Stadium en route to a marginal victory.

Following the win, the Cornhuskers’ social media team somehow thought it would be funny to photoshop their mascot into a photo holding Taylor.

As noted above, the couple announced their engagement this week, even drawing plaudits from Donald Trump. Their reveal consisted of several photos of them together, one of which was edited by Nebraska to troll them.

They deleted it following pressure from Swift’s fans, but not before it was immortalized with a screenshot.

Taylor Swift was catching a stray there, as she was definitely not the subject of Nebraska’s taunts. Travis Kelce, however, played for the University of Cincinnati, as did his brother Jason, who was also in attendance.

The Bearcats were the home team, playing at Kelce’s new stomping grounds, with Patrick Mahomes taking his wife, Brittany, who had a curious reaction to the engagement herself. They couldn’t miss a game in which the quarterback’s lookalike was in action.

Dylan Raiola threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns in the 20-17 win, per ESPN. While it was a scrap at times, they were feeling pretty good after the win, so much so, they took an insane swipe at Travis and Taylor, replacing the Kansas City Chiefs tight end with Herbie.

They have since decided it’s not worth the trouble, taking it down by Friday morning after widespread backlash.
