The Packers and the NFL observe a moment of silent reflection following Charlie Kirk's assassination | talkSPORT

Fans had all sorts of things to say following the NFL’s announcement regarding the death of Charlie Kirk ahead of the ‘Thursday Night Football’ clash between the Washington Commanders and Green Bay Packers.

Kirk, who was killed in a brazen act of violence on Wednesday, with an unknown gunman shooting him in the neck at an event in Utah, was honored before kickoff.

Fans were asked to observe a moment of silent reflection following Kirk’s tragic passing. You can check it out in the Twitter/X video right below:

As suggested above, the comments were all over the place.

“There was a school shooting yesterday (AND today) AND A shooting at a US naval academy but I guess that’s not important,” someone wrote.

“We doing for just anyone now?” a user asked.

“Im actually shocked. Props to them for once. I wonder if the NFLPA put in their 2 cents,” someone else remarked.

“Yeah and effing Amazon went to commercial,” one user pointed out.

The circumstances of Charlie Kirk’s death remain under investigation as authorities are working around the clock to find his killer. Photos and videos of a person of interest were released this Thursday.
