TRAVIS Kelce made it clear why the Kansas City Chiefs have suffered a disastrous 2025 start.

Having made it to five out of the last six Super Bowls, the Chiefs have had a nightmare start to the 2025 NFL season.

They currently find themselves 2-3 after a disappointing loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday.

Star tight end Travis Kelce spoke about this loss on his podcast, New Heights, with his brother Jason.

Travis said, “We go up 14 points, we can’t let them get back into it. A 14-point lead, and on top of that, 14 f****** penalties.”

Jason followed up by saying, “It was a sloppy game, really sloppy by both sides.

“But uncharacteristically sloppy by the Chiefs, who are usually one of the most buttoned-up operations.

“I was impressed by the way the Jaguars played. I know they’re a good team.

“They weathered a lot of stuff early, and you’ve got to give them and Trevor Lawrence credit.”

Travis continued, “We outgained the Jags by 157 yards, won the turnover battle and time of possession.

“It’s so frustrating to lose a game after that.”

Jason remarked, “You guys played very well in a lot of regards, but you made too many mistakes that kept them in the game.

“But I really do think Trevor, that whole team, were fighting every step of the way. They’re rolling now under Liam Coen.”

Travis chimed, “Hats off to the Jags, they finished the game and we didn’t, and they played a cleaner game than we did.

“Their special teams, offence and defence outperformed us, and we’re moving on.

“We’ve got the Lions coming in. I don’t think we really need to talk any more about the Jags’ loss.

“Everybody saw first-hand the debauchery that f****** happened that game, and we’ve just got to be better, man.”

The Chiefs started the season with their worst start ever in the Patrick Mahomes era, losing their first two games.

The Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Chiefs in the opening weekend, before the Philadelphia Eagles made it 0-2.

Kelce was directly at fault for this second loss, dropping a TD pass that started the Eagles’ game-winning drive.

They did then manage to defeat the Giants and the Ravens, but the loss to the Jags sees them sit third in the AFC West.

Kansas City host the 4-1 Detroit Lions this Sunday before facing Tom Brady’s Las Vegas Raiders the following week.
