Tyreek Hill’s career might not be over, but he may have played his last game for the Miami Dolphins.

The star wide receiver tore multiple ligaments, including his ACL, when he dislocated his left knee in a win over the New York Jets on Monday.

He has since undergone surgery and, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, won’t need another, though it’s usually the case with a knee dislocation.

Rosenhaus also claimed the player would be ready for Week 1 of 2026 and most recently indicated that the WR would like to remain in Miami.

“We would love to get together with them after the season and figure something out that works for both sides and continue his career here in Miami,” he told Jose Moser of WSVN 7News.

“There’s no reason why we can’t. We will roll up our sleeves on our end. And if the Dolphins are willing, we will find a number that works for everyone.”

However, CBS insider Jonathan Jones is reporting that Hill will be released at the end of the season, at least that’s what league sources expect to happen.

Hill, who’s in the second year of a three-year deal, is expected to be released before the start of the next league year in March, while sources have also cast doubt on the possibility of him returning for Week 1, even if another surgery isn’t required.

“The 2026 contract year has $29.9 million in non-guaranteed base salary, including $11 million in guaranteed salary if Hill is on the roster on the third day of the 2026 league year. A $5 million roster bonus is due on the same day, meaning that the Dolphins would guarantee Hill $16 million if he’s on the roster come March 14. Because the final year was mostly cosmetic, the final year of the contract did not include money that would guarantee in the event of injury.”

According to league sources, the Dolphins would not be willing to guarantee that type of money to someone who wouldn’t be able to pass a physical by that point, making a release very likely.
