Angel Reese trying to get a rebound.

Cameras caught Angel Reese committing an unnecessary cheap shot on Kiki Iriafen after missing a layup in Tuesday night’s game between the Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics.

Reese and the slumping Sky fell 79-72 to the Mystics at home on Tuesday night, their fourth defeat in the last five outings. The loss dropped Chicago to 3-8 on the season, and to 1-3 at home.

Frustration appears to be growing for Reese, who committed this unnecessary hit to the face on Kiki Iriafen after missing a layup in the game:

Well, Reese told reporters last year that she was happy to take on the role of being a “villain” in the WNBA. Her feud with Caitlin Clark has helped Reese live up to that label, but this cheap shot on Iriafen should help take it to another level.

The Sky will look to get back on track when they host the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. EST.
