The rivalry is predicted to worsen between both teams as they are expected to enter a division series battle in the postseason. After the last two games, the Padres have dethroned the Dodgers and are now sitting on top of the NL West division with a one-game lead.

The Padres hold the third-best record in the National League. With less than two months remaining in the regular season, both teams will continue their fight to stay on top. The Padres seem to have a decent schedule after their series with the Dodgers. However, they still need to face the Brewers and the Mets.

The Boys in Blue must face the Phillies, Giants, and Mariners. It’s going to be a tough battle for both, but if the Padres stay hot, they might be able to clinch the NL West. The Dodgers will turn in Yoshinobu Yamamoto, while the Padres will turn in Nick Pivetta in Game 3.
