VIDEO: 17-Year-Old French Phenom Alicia Tournebize’s Jordan-Like Dunks Have WNBA Teams Salivating

17-year-old French sensation Alicia Tournebize has taken social media by storm after pulling off a wild two-handed dunk.

Game Recap: Wings vs. Storm (7/22/25)

At 6ft 4in, Alicia has been dunking with ease for some time, having coupled her height with explosive athleticism, and is now one of the hottest young prospects in women’s basketball.

To be fair, she did have a massive head start. She’s the daughter of five-time French League champion Isabelle Fijalkowski, and her aunt, Brigitte Tournebize, also played professional basketball in France.

The teenager could be the best of the lot, having joined the Youth system at French club JA Vichy at the age of six before moving to Tango Bourges in the French League, playing for their under-15 side and then earning herself a training-intern contract on the main roster this year.

She became the first Frenchwoman on record to dunk in an official game last September, but she wasn’t caught dunking on camera until this February, when she went viral for an effortless slam in April.

It is rare to see a female stuff the rim. And the way she does it with ease, at her age, Alicia Tournebize is definitely one of one.

She went viral for another impressive dunk during a 25-point France win over Belgium, which saw the French claim Bronze at the FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket on Sunday.

The teenage star finished the contest with a game-high 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting, 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocked shots. The performance included a highlight reel play in the fourth quarter that saw her get out in front on a fast break and jam it with two hands.

Dunking is indeed rare among women. There have only been 37 in the WNBA, and 27 of them belong to Brittney Griner; the other 10 are divided among seven other players.

So yes, this is a big deal.
