Baltimore Ravens rookie cornerback Bilhal Kone suffered a gnarly-looking knee injury during the first quarter of Thursday night’s preseason opener against the Indianapolis Colts.
Late in the first quarter, Bilhal Kone was defending against Ashton Dulin in the Ravens’ end zone as a pass fell incomplete. Kone fell to the ground and grabbed at his left leg, and a trainer quickly rushed onto the field.

Unfortunately, Bilhal Kone and the Ravens quickly received the worst-case scenario. Soon after the injury, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Kone suffered ACL and MCL tears and would miss his entire rookie year.
The 23-year-old was drafted in the sixth round (178th overall) by the Ravens following a two-year stint at Western Michigan. In his final year of college football, Kone recorded one interception, nine pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.
