An adult toy manufacturer has addressed the new, disturbing trend of fans throwing green pleasure wands onto the court during games.
While some find it funny, the companies that make them do not.
TMZ Sports claims to have spoken to several of them, and they all feel it’s disrespectful. One such sex toy maker, Twisted Dantasies owner Avi Goldstein, slammed the practice.
“We make adult toys for the bedroom, not for throwing around at basketball games,” he told the outlet.
“What happened at those games was completely inappropriate, putting players and fans at risk, incredibly disrespectful to these amazing athletes, and frankly, not something kids should be seeing during a family sports event,” Goldstein added.
Goldstein said that his company is “all for passionate fans and people embracing their sexuality in healthy ways, but there’s definitely a time and place for that. A public sporting event isn’t it.”

Another manufacturer, Naughty Fox, said that they want people to enjoy their products, but a WNBA court during a game is not the place for such an event.
The company said throwing the objects at players is crossing a line and urged people to keep them in the bedroom.
“We’re all for fun and freedom,” they said, “but throwing sex toys at WNBA players definitely crosses a line. Please keep the games sporty and the toys in the bedroom.”
The trend kicked off last week, when someone in the crowd tossed a green self-pleasure toy onto the court. It’s happened at least twice since then, notably on Tuesday night, when Sophie Cunningham got hit with one during a game between the Indiana Fever and Los Angeles Sparks.
Ironically, the incident occurred after Cunningham took to social media to ask fans to stop.
The WNBA has also taken measures to bring an end to the practice, enforcing a no-bag policy. Meanwhile, one individual has been charged by police with disorderly conduct, public indecency/indecent exposure, and criminal trespassing.
The 18-year-old said it was just a joke. They clearly didn’t find it funny.
