After a long period of speculation, Bradley Beal has finalized a buyout deal with the Phoenix Suns franchise. Shortly after, the veteran guard signed a two-year, $10.9 million contract with the Los Angeles Clippers. It marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
In a conversation with Tamar Sher, Beal made it clear that his move to Los Angeles was fueled by only winning an NBA championship.
“I need a ring. I need a ring. You know, I want one bad. And I feel like I got a new life of rejuvenation for sure, a new hunger,” Beal said.
The Clippers have been active this offseason. Beal’s arrival is one of their most significant moves. He now joins forces with James Harden and Kawhi Leonard. The thought of competing alongside such talent has only amplified Beal’s motivation.
“I’m excited about the opportunity, a new city, new environment, but a hungry environment too. You know, I’m definitely excited about the opportunity to go win,” he added.

In addition to Beal, the Clippers also brought in veteran point guard Chris Paul this offseason. The two have a longstanding relationship, and Beal revealed why he gave up his No. 3 jersey so Paul could wear it.
“Chris is lucky we have a previous relationship outside of basketball. You know, we’re good. I actually grew up and played in his camps, too. So it was kind of like a big bro thing. Like I had a choice, but I didn’t really have a choice. So it was out of respect,” he said.
It’s clear that Bradley Beal’s arrival in Los Angeles has sparked a wave of anticipation. With the season ahead, the Clippers’ championship aspirations have now felt alive as Beal and Paul join with the Clippers’ star duo.
