Some players like to keep their goals quiet. Dak Prescott isn’t one of them. Before Saturday’s preseason game in Los Angeles, the Cowboys quarterback walked up to Rams owner Stan Kroenke and told him they’d see each other again, in the NFC Championship Game.

Dallas has had plenty of noise this offseason, with Micah Parsons and Jerry Jones locked in a public contract standoff. But that didn’t stop Dak from calling his shot. No maybes. No careful answers. Just straight confidence.

It’s a big statement for a team that hasn’t reached the NFC title game in almost 30 years. The Cowboys went 7-10 last year, and Dak missed most of the season with a nasty hamstring injury. Still, it’s August, and hope is undefeated. Week 1 starts Sept. 4.

Fans Had Thoughts On Dak Prescott’s Take

Prescott’s confidence lit up X within minutes. Rival fans lined up to predict another Cowboys flameout.

“Another year of Cowboys disappointment,” one posted.

“Dak buying a ticket to the game?” another asked.

Others took aim at the specifics. “I guess he’s planning to meet him in the stands in Philly,” Hard Rock Bet joked.

Some got personal. “Dak can’t even reach the NFC Championship Game in Madden,” one fan wrote.

Dak Prescott didn’t respond to the online jabs. Maybe he doesn’t care. Maybe he’s letting his words hang until January. The Cowboys know the numbers, the drought, the doubters. But for now, their quarterback just told the world exactly how he sees the season ending.

If nothing else, he made sure people would remember this conversation with Stan Kroenke. And they’ll definitely bring it up if Dallas doesn’t get there.
