Since capturing the championship in 2021, the Milwaukee Bucks have struggled to put together another convincing playoff run. Their latest postseason disappointment has only fueled speculation about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s long-term future with the team.

Reports suggest that nothing has been finalized regarding whether Giannis will remain in Milwaukee or look for a fresh start elsewhere. Additionally, the two-time MVP recently teased his future with the Bucks.

For now, however, Giannis’ full focus is on EuroBasket 2025. He has been with the Greek national team since the beginning of August. On Saturday, Greece took part in an exhibition game. Although Antetokounmpo did not take the floor, he still managed to capture plenty of attention.

A short video from the warm-up session quickly went viral, showing the Bucks superstar reaching over and playfully slapping teammate Giannoulis Larentzakis on the head.

The moment happened as Giannis appeared to be giving a motivational speech to the group in a circle. While the act seemed playful rather than aggressive, the clip drew attention online because Larentzakis is older than Antetokounmpo.

In a recent conversation with ESPN Milwaukee, Bobby Portis made it clear that he doesn’t believe Giannis Antetokounmpo is looking for a way out of Milwaukee. The veteran forward expressed full confidence in his teammate’s loyalty.

I talk to Giannis all the time. That’s my teammate. Giannis bleeds green. That’s all I can say,” Portis said.

Since being drafted by the Bucks in 2013, Giannis has remained steadfastly committed to the franchise. However, this offseason marked the first time his future with the team became a major talking point. The speculation gained much attention following Milwaukee’s decision to trade Damian Lillard to the Portland Trail Blazers.
