Air traffic controllers were not going to have a tragedy on their hands when they repeatedly sent orders to the pilots of Spirit Airlines flight 1300.

According to audio from the interaction, the flight sharing the sky with Air Force One on Tuesday was repeatedly ordered by air traffic control to “turn 20 degrees right.”

Air traffic controllers repeatedly warned the aircraft to “pay attention” and “turn away” after it came too close to President Donald Trump’s aircraft as he flew to the United Kingdom for his state visit.

The planes were never within a distance that the Federal Aviation Administration would classify as unsafe, but it was still close enough for the air traffic controllers to make sure nothing insane would happen to the leader of the country.

Not only were the Spirit Airlines pilots scolded, but they were also told to “Pay attention. Get off the iPad.”

“Spirit wings 1300 turn 20 degrees right immediately,” the flight was ordered several times before they brought up the iPad.

The Spirit flight was travelling from Florida to Massachusetts.

Spirit Airlines Has Had Issues in The Skies Before

Pay Attention!' Spirit Airlines Pilot Scolded for Getting Too Close to Air Force One

An air traffic controller had to repeatedly warn a Spirit Airlines flight to turn away from Air Force One’s path as both traversed over New York.

In the audio, air traffic control could be heard warning the Spirit flight to “turn 20 degrees.”

This is not the first issue the airlines have had this year.

Annie Bryn Flaherty, a former Spirit Airlines flight attendant, was arrested earlier this year after she told police her boyfriend “made a joke calling her a junkie” that made her cry. She then added he “beat her up.”

It turns out she lied, and she was the one who responded with violence.

In the end, this is much better than what happened when a Black Hawk helicopter collided with a passenger jet in January and killed everyone on board.
