Paige Spiranac doesn’t usually talk about her private life, and now we know exactly why.
The 32-year-old golf personality and social media star opened up during a recent Instagram Q&A, revealing for the first time that she was married before. It didn’t last, and the trauma from that experience pushed her to draw a hard line when it comes to sharing anything about her relationships.
“I got married young, and when it didn’t work out, I decided I was never, ever, ever going to share my personal life online again,” she said.
That marriage was with former baseball player and athletic trainer Steven Tinoco. The two quietly got married and just as quietly split. Spiranac confirmed the divorce in 2022, but she’s kept the full timeline to herself and plans to keep it that way.
Why Spiranac Keeps Her Love Life Private

Since that split, Spiranac has made a point of keeping anything personal away from the public eye. This is not about building mystery or protecting followers, it’s about protecting her mental health.
“It’s really for my mental well-being,” she said, according to TMSPN. “I’m open and honest in so many areas, but I want to keep a little part of something to myself.”
Even years after the divorce, Spiranac still receives nasty messages. That kind of attention made her realize that privacy isn’t just nice, it’s necessary. “If you never put it out there, you never owe anyone an explanation,” she said.
Yes, Spiranac has a boyfriend now. No, you won’t see him. “He works crazy hours and so do I. Whoever’s busier, the other person picks up the slack,” she said. That’s all she’s willing to share.
And no, it’s not someone famous. Despite all the rumors, especially around NFL star Tom Brady and golfer Bryson DeChambeau, Spiranac set the record straight: “Never been on a date with anyone famous.”
She also joked about her college crush, now-PGA Tour star Xander Schauffele. “I had a crush on him, and he wanted nothing to do with me,” she said.
Right now, her focus is on her work. Between golf content, brand partnerships, and her own platform The Spiranac Effect, she’s keeping her personal life exactly that, personal.
