A popular Marlins fan has revealed that Bad Bunny is angry at Donald Trump, which is why he remained glued to his seat as ‘God Bless America’ rang out at Yankee Stadium earlier this week.

The recently unveiled Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show performer has been the cause of much controversy on account of his selection, as he has been accused of being anti-American.

While many fans have voiced frustration over the fact that most of the Puerto Rican’s songs are in Spanish, his comments about touring in the U.S. and about Trump have also rubbed some the wrong way.

He didn’t do himself any favors by refusing to stand while the song played during the Yankees vs. Blue Jays game earlier this week.

The fan, Laurence Leavy, who goes by the name “Marlins Man,” ended up two seats down from Bad Bunny on Tuesday night and confirmed that the rapper did not stand up. He claimed he tried to get him to but was shot down by his management.

He then implied that Trump was to blame for Bad Bunny’s recalcitrant attitude.

“So I wanted to add that i asked his manager yo (sic) get him up and he said no,” he wrote in a post on X. “Mad at Trump for saying he’s is (sic) Latin and not an American. He thinks Trump doesn’t know Puerto Rico is in USA.”

Marlins Man didn’t say whether he got the info from the manager or Bunny himself, but he insisted several times that the Puerto Rican is “super nice” and “humble.”
