Ice Cube offered a whopping $5 million to Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark to play in the Big3.

Angel Reese won’t be playing in the Big3 anytime soon.

After offering Caitlin Clark $5 million to play in his league, Ice Cube explained why he won’t be making the same offer to Angel Reese.

While speaking to TMZ Sports, Ice Cube explained that the $5 million offer previously extended to Clark was backed by “assurances from corporate sponsors” who believed her presence would have a transformative impact on the Big3. That level of backing, he noted, doesn’t exist for Reese.

“I don’t think we can make that same offer because it won’t have the same impact to the league,” said Cube.

Clark ultimately turned down the offer, opting to focus on her WNBA career and lucrative endorsement portfolio. Though her rookie salary in 2024 is just $76,535, she’s reportedly earned around $11 million through endorsements, according to Sportico.

Reese, meanwhile, has taken a slightly different route. While her WNBA earnings are similarly modest, she’s already making waves in multiple arenas. The 23-year-old was recently named the cover star of NBA 2K26’s WNBA Edition and became the face of Reebok’s first signature sneaker for a female basketball player in over a decade.

She also competed in the inaugural season of Unrivaled, a three-on-three league co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. As a member of the championship team Rose BC, Reese earned a $50,000 bonus on top of her standard contract.

Reese has also been a star on the court, as the second-year forward is shining through 22 games with the Sky. She’s averaging 13.8 points and 12.5 rebounds on 44.8 percent shooting and proving she’s as dominant as she is marketable.
