Francisco Lindor struck out with the bases loaded at the top of the second while the Mets had a 1-0 lead. The shortstop also made a fielding error in the same inning that allowed the Brewers to score two runs. While the Mets did fight back and take the lead, they were still no match for the Brewers as they lost 7-4.

Lindor is not having the perfect season. Despite crushing 21 home runs, his batting average is at .245 and is OPB is at .313. Recently, the slugger has experienced a huge dip his performance and he hopes to pick up the pace soon.

The Mets will make the playoffs one way or another. Yet, many are worried about the team’s playoff run. Despite Juan Soto on the team, they still seem to have room for improvement. That said, players like Francisco Lindor must step up with their performance.

There’s no room for error, especially if they want to make it to the World Series. With the Phillies as a tough competitor, things are not going to get easier as the season progresses.
