Former MLB star David Justice is taking heat online after revealing his reasons for divorcing actress Halle Berry.

Justice and Berry tied the knot in 1993 but were separated by 1996, finalizing their divorce a year later.

The two-time World Series winner and three-time All-Star opened up on their split during a recent appearance on ‘All The Smoke’, revealing she was the one who proposed to him after five months of dating.

David said he was expecting a wife who cooked and cleaned, given his Midwest upbringing, while he had a particular vision of the woman he wanted to be the mother of his kids.

You could listen to his explanation in the video below:

Some social media users couldn’t get on board.

“U married Halle berry in her prime as a movie star and was expecting her to cook and clean 😂 😂 Bye Felicia 😂,” one laughed.

“She’s Halle f**kin Berry bro.. you think God sent here down here to swiffer s**t?? Lol,” another wrote.

“He sounds bitter… especially considering it’s known he abused her,” someone suggested.

“If she’s a famous actor and he’s a professional baseball player why do you need her to cook and clean if you can afford a chef with maids ????” asked a fourth.

David Justice remarried in 2001 and has three children with his wife, Rebecca, one of whom, Dionisio Justice, plays football at UCLA. Halle Berry has been married twice since their divorce and is currently in a long-term relationship with Van Hunt.

She revealed back in 1996 that she suffered hearing loss from an abusive relationship. It was never confirmed that Justice was responsible, as she has never named the individual, but people assumed he was the one.

He has continued to deny it while expressing annoyance that the actress never cleared his name, which he says damaged his reputation.

“She let the world think it. She didn’t come out and say, ‘Nah, it wasn’t David,’” he said on ‘All The Smoke’. “That, I didn’t appreciate from her.”
