On Wednesday, July 23, Chantel took to her Instagram Story to share a lengthy statement. In the post, she explained that if someone has never “dealt with a toxic mother,” then they have “no idea what it feels like.” Additionally, she explained that although it’s “painful” to watch “these moments” of her life play out on TV, she knows her “younger self” is “proud” she finally stood up for herself.

From there, she seemingly began to label the “dynamic” between herself and mother, including words such as “narcissism, jealousy, lies, lack of accountability,” and more.

“What you witnessed was a masterclass in narcissism — someone lighting the fire behind the scenes, then walking away so you look like the arsonist. I know what really happened on and off camera — all season long,” she continued.

Ultimately, Chantel alleged that in the viral scene, Jackie touched her arm. In turn, she pushed Jackie’s arm off her, and that’s when, she says, her mother punched her. Furthermore, Chantel called the incident “unfortunate” but “a long time coming.”

During the episode, Chantel and Jackie sat down for a conversation, which escalated with Chantel calling her mother “vile” and saying she has “zero respect” for her. Furthermore, as their conversation continued and only became more heated, Jackie told her daughter to leave her hotel room.

Ultimately, the incident concluded with Chantel pushing Jackie and Jackie swinging on her daughter.
