Jason Garrett may get another shot in the NFL after all.
Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has reportedly landed an interview with an AFC team for their head coaching vacancy.

Jason Garrett has been out of coaching since the New York Giants fired him as their offensive coordinator during the 2021 season. He is wrapping up his fourth season as an NFL analyst on NBC Sports.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Garrett will interview with the Tennessee Titans for their HC vacancy on Friday. The Titans fired head coach Brian Callahan after a 1-5 start, with Mike McCoy finishing out the year as their interim HC.
On Monday, Titans reporter Paul Kuharsky said that the Titans also lined up interviews with former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and ex-Atlanta Falcons HC Raheem Morris. The two were let go from their respective jobs on Monday.
The Titans finished 3-14, missing the postseason for the fourth straight year. This comes after they logged six straight winning seasons from 2016 to 2021, including four playoff berths and a trip to the 2019 AFC Championship Game.

Though most know Garrett as the former head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, he was also the backup quarterback to Troy Aikman during their ’90s dynasty. Garrett was part of all three Super Bowl championship-winning teams in 1992, 1993 and 1995.
Garrett became the Cowboys’ offensive coordinator in 2007 under then-head coach Wade Phillips. He became the assistant head coach midway through the 2010 season, following Phillips’ firing.
Though Dallas went 85-67-0 under Garrett, he only won a pair of playoff games in his 10 seasons at the helm. Star-studded Cowboys teams continuously underachieved under Garrett, who logged just three seasons of double-digit wins in Dallas.
Considering his lack of success and the fact that he hasn’t coached in over four years, it’d be a surprise if Garrett landed the Titans’ HC opening.
