Bill Gates, Jeffrey Epstein, and the Story That Refuses to Die

When Bill Gates was asked what he did after learning about Jeffrey Epstein’s background, his response stunned many people.

“Well, he’s dead.”

That single sentence has since become emblematic of a story that never truly went away—and now, with newly released files and images, it’s coming back with renewed force.

The Philanthropy Defense

For years, Bill Gates insisted that his interactions with Epstein were limited, professional, and purely philanthropic. He claimed Epstein was merely a conduit for charitable fundraising—nothing more.

But this explanation raises a glaring question:

Why would one of the wealthiest men on Earth—who already runs the largest private charitable foundation in the world—need Jeffrey Epstein to facilitate philanthropy?

The Gates Foundation’s stated mission focuses heavily on improving the lives of young women in underprivileged countries. That makes Gates’ repeated interactions with a convicted sex offender who exploited young women even harder to reconcile.

The New Photos That Changed Everything

On December 18th, the Oversight Committee released a second batch of photographs recovered from Epstein’s estate.

Among them were multiple images of Bill Gates—often pictured alongside young women whose faces were blurred or redacted. Some images were reportedly taken aboard Epstein’s private jet. Others appeared inside Epstein’s mansion, including a framed photograph of Gates displayed on Epstein’s wall.

That alone contradicts Gates’ claim that there was no meaningful relationship.

But it gets worse.

Some of the newly released materials reportedly include:

Passports belonging to young women

Screenshots referencing payments for women

Messages allegedly offering women for sale, including one that reads:

“I have a friend, Scout. She sent me some girls today, but she asked for $1,000 per girl.”

Other images reportedly show photographs of women’s body parts with passages from Lolita scribbled across them.

The cumulative effect of these materials has led many online to conclude that Gates’ previous statements were not just misleading—but outright false.

The Timeline Problem

Bill Gates has repeatedly claimed that he first met Epstein in 2011.

However, newly surfaced evidence suggests that their connection stretches back decades earlier—to the 1990s.

At the center of this timeline is a woman named Melanie Walker.

Melanie Walker: The Missing Link

In 1992, Melanie Walker—a young neuroscientist—met Jeffrey Epstein in New York. Epstein allegedly offered her professional opportunities, and over the next several years she worked as a science adviser, helping Epstein connect with academics and researchers.

In 2006—five years before Gates claims to have met Epstein—Bill Gates hired Melanie Walker as a senior program officer at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

This raises an obvious question:

Are we really supposed to believe that Gates hired someone into a senior role at his foundation without vetting her background—especially when she had an established professional relationship with Epstein?

Some have even speculated that Walker may have acted as a honeypot, collecting information or facilitating introductions on Epstein’s behalf. That remains speculation, but the overlap is undeniable.

The 2011 Meeting That Wasn’t Innocent

When Gates finally did meet Epstein in 2011, Epstein was already a convicted sex offender.

That meeting reportedly took place at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse. Afterward, Gates emailed colleagues describing Epstein’s lifestyle as “intriguing.”

Despite knowing Epstein’s criminal history, Gates continued meeting with him.

Just weeks later, in May 2011, Gates met Epstein again—this time alongside:

JP Morgan executive James Staley

Gates science adviser Boris Nikolic

Former Harvard president Larry Summers

Between 2012 and 2013, Gates met Epstein multiple times at his New York residence. Flight logs indicate Gates also flew on Epstein’s private jet in 2013.

Later that same year, Bill and Melinda Gates visited Epstein’s Upper East Side home together.

Melinda Gates Breaks Her Silence

Melinda Gates has since confirmed that Epstein played a significant role in the breakdown of their marriage.

She stated publicly that she confronted Bill about his relationship with Epstein and made it clear how disturbed she was.

She herself met Epstein exactly once—and described the experience in chilling terms:

“He was abhorrent. He was evil personified. I had nightmares afterward.”

She said her heart broke for the young women Epstein victimized—and made it clear that she shared these feelings with Bill, despite his continued association with Epstein.

After filing for divorce in 2021, Melinda acknowledged that Bill’s Epstein connection was one of several factors that led to the separation.

A Disturbing 2014 Arrest

In 2014, another deeply troubling incident surfaced.

That year, Rick Allen Jones, a personal engineer who worked on the Gates’ 66,000-square-foot estate, was arrested for child sexual abuse material offenses. Authorities questioned him on the Gates’ property.

Jones admitted to collecting such material for over a decade.

While there is no allegation that the crimes occurred at the Gates estate itself, the story was quickly scrubbed from mainstream media.

The Gates Foundation declined to comment, and it remains unclear whether Jones was formally terminated.

Some now speculate—without proof—that Jones may have been a convenient fall guy.

Epstein’s Final Moves

In 2014, Epstein pitched a new “philanthropic” venture to Gates and JP Morgan Chase. The plan involved Gates anchoring a donor-advised fund, with Epstein taking a percentage of the funds raised.

The project never materialized.

By 2017, newly released text messages from Epstein’s estate show Epstein communicating with an adviser labeled only as “Melanie,” believed to be Melanie Walker.

In those messages, Epstein discusses meetings with Bill Gates—including one involving Jared Kushner at the White House.

One message reads:

“BG meets with Trump March 20th–21st.”

That meeting is publicly confirmed to have taken place on March 21st, 2017.

The messages also show Epstein dismissing peace initiatives as “boring” and discussing Gates’ interests in technology and global policy.

Epstein’s Arrest—and a Convenient End

By 2018 and 2019, journalists were finally closing in on Gates’ Epstein connection. Once again, Gates insisted everything was philanthropic.

Then, in the summer of 2019, Epstein was arrested on federal charges.

One month later, he was dead.

Only then did Gates publicly describe his meetings with Epstein as a “foolish mistake.”

When asked what he did upon learning about Epstein’s background, Gates replied:

“Well, he’s dead.”

To many, it sounded less like remorse—and more like relief.

The Question That Won’t Go Away

With these new images circulating and old connections resurfacing, public opinion has shifted dramatically.

As one user on X put it:

“How many times does Bill Gates have to appear in the Epstein files before people question his interest in ‘saving the world’?”

That question now hangs unanswered.

And the more evidence that emerges,
the harder it becomes to dismiss it as coincidence.
