🔥 Rep. Wesley Hunt TORCHES Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson for ‘Victimhood Mentality’ on The Benny Johnson Show

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) unleashed a blistering critique of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, accusing her of promoting a “victimhood mentality” that insults the progress and intelligence of Black Americans.

During a fiery segment on The Benny Johnson Show, both Hunt and host Benny Johnson condemned Justice Jackson’s recent remarks suggesting that Black Americans are “disabled” in the context of voting rights — a comment that has drawn sharp backlash across conservative circles.

“The Soft Bigotry of Low Expectations”

Benny Johnson set the tone from the outset, mocking what he called the absurdity of Jackson’s worldview:

“Ketanji Brown Jackson. One of the smartest people. She doesn’t know what a woman is — but she does know that Black Americans are disabled,” Johnson said.

Rep. Hunt, a decorated Army veteran, West Point graduate, and one of the most vocal conservative Black lawmakers in Congress, did not hold back.

“This is the example of the liberal mind virus,” Hunt said. “This is the soft bigotry of low expectations.”

He went on to share his own family story as proof of America’s racial progress — and the dangers of clinging to victimhood narratives.

“My great-great-grandfather was born on a plantation. His great-great-grandson, me, is a United States Congressman in a white majority district that President Trump would have won by 20 points — and I won by 27,” Hunt declared. “We are way beyond slavery. We are way beyond Jim Crow. Every nation has a checkered past, but we’ve come a long way.”

“I am the Democrats’ worst nightmare — a conservative Black man who just wants to be judged by the content of his character.”

“Liberals Think Black and Brown People Are Too Stupid to Get an ID”

Hunt then turned his fire on the broader Democratic Party, accusing liberals of weaponizing race for political gain.

“Liberals think Black and brown people are too stupid to get an ID to vote,” he said. “They think we’re all supposed to vote Democrat forever. But they don’t realize they’re losing us.”

He pointed to shifting political trends among Black voters, noting that “one in three Black men voted for President Trump in the last election.”

“We don’t want to be handicapped — we want to be respected,” Hunt said emphatically.

Success Through Merit — Not Victimhood

Hunt also highlighted his personal achievements, not to boast, he said, but to illustrate that America still rewards hard work and ambition, regardless of race.

“I’m a West Point grad. I flew 55 combat air missions in Baghdad. I learned to fly the most sophisticated helicopter on earth — the AH-64 Apache,” Hunt recounted.
“I earned three master’s degrees in four years from an Ivy League school. And I love my country. That’s all my voters care about.”

His comments underscored his core belief: that success in America is earned, not granted through government programs or racial grievance politics.

“You Have Two Harvard Degrees — Stop Playing the Victim”

But Hunt’s sharpest words were aimed directly at Justice Jackson herself.

“I hate seeing a Black woman who is a Supreme Court Justice sit there and spew these liberal lies,” Hunt said. “You have two Harvard degrees! You should be saying, ‘Look, I’m living proof you can achieve anything in this country.’ But instead, she plays the victim.”

The congressman’s frustration was clear — not with Jackson’s achievements, but with what he views as her refusal to acknowledge the progress those achievements represent.

“Let’s Get in the Boat Together and Row Forward”

Despite the fiery tone, Hunt ended on a note of unity — one rooted in merit, not division.

“There are a lot of white people who aren’t Supreme Court Justices,” he said. “So let’s get over it, get in the boat together, and start rowing in the right direction. Let’s talk about what it means to be an American.”

His message: America doesn’t need more victimhood — it needs shared values, shared effort, and shared pride.

Bottom Line

Rep. Wesley Hunt’s remarks struck a chord with millions of conservatives who feel that the Left’s obsession with racial grievance has overshadowed real stories of success, resilience, and patriotism.

As Benny Johnson summed it up perfectly at the close of the segment:

“Harvard degrees. Supreme Court seat. Still a victim. Unbelievable.”

Hunt’s interview quickly went viral online — and may stand as one of the most unapologetic conservative takedowns of progressive race politics this year.
