💥 Rylan Clark Confirms Split from ITV: “I Can Finally Breathe Easy”
LONDON — Television presenter Rylan Clark has announced that his long-standing contract with ITV has been officially terminated, following weeks of controversy surrounding his recent public statements.
The former This Morning and Big Brother’s Bit on the Side host confirmed the news in a candid post on social media, describing the decision as both painful and freeing.
“At last, I can finally breathe easy and speak out about those disgusting truths,” Rylan wrote. “I have no regrets for speaking up, even if it cost me my career. Thank you, everyone…”
A Tumultuous Split
According to industry insiders, tensions between Rylan and ITV had been escalating after comments he made during a live event sparked backlash and internal reviews. While neither party disclosed the full details of the dispute, reports suggest the network felt his remarks violated company guidelines on impartiality and conduct.
In his post, however, Rylan hinted that his statements were motivated by frustration over behind-the-scenes practices within the television industry, saying he had “stayed silent for too long.”
“There comes a time when silence becomes complicity,” he reportedly told a close friend. “I’ve worked with amazing people at ITV, but I couldn’t keep pretending everything was fine.”
End of an Era for a Fan Favourite
Rylan, 36, rose to fame on The X Factor in 2012 and went on to become one of Britain’s most beloved television personalities. Known for his sharp humour and unfiltered charm, he became a staple of ITV’s entertainment lineup for more than a decade.
Fans flooded social media with messages of support following his announcement, praising his courage and transparency. The hashtag #WeStandWithRylan quickly began trending across the UK.
“You’ve given us laughter, honesty, and heart for years,” one fan wrote. “You deserve peace and freedom, Rylan.”
What’s Next for Rylan?
Despite his departure, Rylan hinted that this may not mark the end of his broadcasting career. Sources close to the presenter say he has been in talks with independent production companies and may explore opportunities outside traditional network television — including digital media or his own talk show format.
For now, he appears content to take a step back.
“Sometimes, you have to lose everything to find your voice again,” he wrote.
Neither ITV nor Rylan’s representatives have issued further comments.
