Human Remains Found at Abandoned Philadelphia School Believed to Be Missing Woman Kada Scott

Authorities in Philadelphia have discovered human female remains in a shallow grave on the grounds of an abandoned school, believed to be 23-year-old Kada Scott, who has been missing for the past two weeks.

A spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department confirmed the discovery to ABC News, noting that forensic identification is ongoing. Officials cautioned that while the remains are “believed to be” Scott’s, a formal DNA confirmation is still pending.

“We are treating this as an active investigation,” the spokesperson said.
“Our primary concern is ensuring that the remains are identified accurately and that any potential suspects are brought to justice.”

Scott was reported missing approximately two weeks ago, and her disappearance had prompted a citywide search and alerts through local media and social platforms. Authorities are urging anyone with information about her last known movements or potential leads to come forward immediately.

The abandoned school, where the remains were found, has long been a site of vandalism and trespassing, and police have not yet disclosed whether any evidence at the scene points to foul play.

Philadelphia police have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that updates will be provided as they become available.
