From Bondi Beach Tragedy to Moral Bankruptcy

It’s time once again for Lefties Losing It, and sadly, the material keeps writing itself.

You might think that the horrific Islamist terror attack at Bondi Beach—an attack that deliberately targeted the Jewish community—would prompt a moment of reflection from prominent anti-Israeli activists. You would be wrong. Very wrong.

Rather than acknowledging the victims of that brutal, preventable atrocity, climate activist Greta Thunberg chose to center her outrage elsewhere: on anti-Israeli activists imprisoned in the United Kingdom.

Not a word about Bondi. Not a word about the Jewish families terrorized. Instead, Greta posted a message expressing solidarity with eight individuals in British prisons—activists allegedly detained for supporting a terror-linked group and for crimes including breaking into an arms facility.

According to Thunberg, they are the real victims.

She warned dramatically of “irreversible damage” to their bodies as they continue a 42-day hunger strike. One can’t help but wonder whether such damage could be avoided entirely—perhaps by, say, eating food and accepting responsibility for their actions.

As one blunt observer put it: “Have a sandwich and get a job.” Harsh, maybe—but far more grounded in reality than Greta’s moral inversion.

Normalizing Hate and Calling for Violence

Greta is far from alone. Other anti-Israeli activists, such as media personality Abby Chatfield, have spent years normalizing hatred toward “Zionists,” treating belief in Israel’s right to exist as if it were a moral crime.

One might hope that recent events would inspire accountability or even an apology. Instead, Chatfield’s record includes something far worse: openly calling on Americans to murder President Donald Trump.

Yes—she actually posted it. Encouraging violence. Explicitly. Publicly.

And yet, somehow, this rhetoric never seems to fall under the ever-expanding crackdown on “hate speech.” That standard, it seems, is applied selectively.

Media Hypocrisy, Weaponized

Then there’s CNN’s Jake Tapper, offering a masterclass in professional hypocrisy. Tapper now claims he is hyper-focused on Donald Trump’s age because he supposedly failed to scrutinize Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline while it mattered.

This from the same man who actively attacked those who raised legitimate concerns about Biden’s mental fitness—only to later write a book about it after Democrats forced Biden out.

So let’s get this straight: Tapper ignored the issue when it mattered, denied it when others raised it, monetized it after the fact, and now uses his own failure as justification to obsessively target Trump. Flawless logic.

MSNBC’s Descent Into Madness

Meanwhile, Nicole Wallace—formerly of MSNBC—saves her most extreme takes for her podcast, which increasingly resembles a showcase for the most radical opinions in America.

This week’s guest was Leslie Jones, who openly fantasized about a “reckoning” in which ICE agents are thrown in jail simply for enforcing immigration law.

ICE agents. Doing their jobs. Arresting criminals—including rapists and murderers.

According to Jones, they deserve prison.

This is no longer political disagreement. This is moral derangement.

And then there’s Joy Reid, who insists—without irony—that there is no such thing as liberal media. According to Reid, corporate media is secretly conservative and only independent outlets are truly left-wing.

When someone is that far removed from reality, facts cease to matter.

Ilhan Omar and the Gun-Control Deflection

Enter Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, responding to the Bondi Beach terror attack not by condemning Islamist extremism, but by pivoting immediately to gun control.

Never mind that Australia already has some of the strictest gun laws in the world.
Never mind that terrorists, by definition, do not follow laws.
Never mind that the attackers were motivated by ideology, not firearms availability.

As Sky News contributor Kosha Gada correctly pointed out, legislation is not a magic wand. Criminals and terrorists will always find weapons. The only people restricted by gun laws are law-abiding citizens.

Yet Omar avoids discussing immigration, radicalization, or cultural incompatibility—topics she knows are politically inconvenient.

Humanity Amid Horror

Amid all this madness, one moment stood apart.

Footage from Bondi captured a pregnant woman named Jess shielding a toddler who wasn’t her own, lying on top of the child as gunfire echoed nearby. She soothed the terrified girl, promising safety while risking her own life.

Later, Jess met the child’s parents in an emotional reunion. No politics. No ideology. Just pure human courage.

As Kosha Gada observed, in moments of extreme evil, we often witness extreme humanity as well. That act alone restored a measure of hope.

A Global Shift Is Underway

Internationally, Argentina’s President Javier Milei called out the hypocrisy of political and media elites who express condolences after terror attacks while simultaneously promoting ideologies that enable them.

Milei has been a steadfast ally of the Jewish people and one of the few leaders willing to speak plainly about immigration, assimilation, and cultural incompatibility.

And he’s not alone.

From Donald Trump in the U.S. to nationalist movements across Europe—and now sweeping Latin America—the political momentum is shifting. Chile’s recent landslide election of ultra-conservative José Antonio Kast is just the latest example. Nearly 60% of voters rejected leftist governance outright.

Argentina, Paraguay, El Salvador, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, and Chile have all moved right in rapid succession. Even in regions once dominated by socialism, voters are demanding order, security, and prosperity.

Final Thought

From Greta Thunberg’s selective outrage, to media hypocrisy, to politicians refusing to name the true causes of violence, the pattern is unmistakable.

The Left isn’t just losing arguments.
It’s losing moral authority.
It’s losing credibility.
And increasingly, it’s losing elections.

Meanwhile, ordinary people—like Jess at Bondi—continue to demonstrate the values of courage, responsibility, and humanity that no ideology can manufacture.

And that contrast says everything.
